It would be a really big move and I am not sure either one of us is ready for that… Jim is back so we are going outside with the kids; maybe the fresh air will clear my head.

The weekend went by so very fast. It’s already time to go home. Fifi seems more than ready to go, but Samson definitely wants to stay, we had to put him on a leash to break down camp. I can’t wait to see my Yoyo and Princess!

thing about this camp ground is the people! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Last night when we arrived we took Samson and Fifi on a little walk to see the area. While we were putting up the tent Samson we on his own adventure, Fifi always stays close. Samson made a fast friend and went home with Rocky. Rocky’s dad brought Samson home about the time I started getting frantic. Roger and Jim made fast friends as well. Fifi does not seem to appreciate Rocky and has become very protective of Samson. This is going to be an interesting weekend.

It’s as though they know this weekend is all about them. Jim is just as excited and I think if he could right now, he would go run and jump with them. The tent is in the car; let’s see if Samson and Fifi will stop long enough to get the show on the road.

Jim and I are taking Fifi and Samson camping this weekend. My friend is going to watch Princess and Yoyo because they do NOT enjoy camping at all. Princess will deal with it if she goes, but Yoyo gets rather “stressed” and I worry she will run off and not come back. The campground is very nice and has lovely places for Fifi and Samson to run and play and interact with others. Samson has been running around Jim’s feet all morning just waiting til we tell him it’s time to go. I am still packing Princess’ and Yoyo’s things for the weekend. I forgot how much stuff they have!

that a dog can get themselves in some of the craziest messes? Last night we had gone out on the back deck to watch the sunset and I noticed Fifi was MIA. At first I didn’t worry too much, she sometimes likes solo time. After we went inside and were getting ready to hit the sack I still couldn’t find Fifi. I asked Jim if he had seen her and then we went looking. We went all around the yard, upstairs and down, the garage, the car, the boat and finally the woods. After about 20 minutes we heard her barking. We ran around in circles for another five minutes when we finally figured out she was in a tree! Jim went back to the house and got the ladder and rescued sweet Fifi. I spent half the night wondering how in the world she got up there. So, today I went back and surveyed the scene. It seems that a rather thick branch had fallen and created a “ramp” to the branch Fifi was on. Exactly why she walked the “plank” we may never know, but when she reached the top she must have knocked the dead branch off. What are the chances?

They had a special area for Princess and Yoyo to stay while we ate. It was a lovely glass enclosed area with a “tree” for my ladies to climb and lay in. Samson and Fifi were allowed at the table as long as they did not “beg.” The food was great and the atmosphere was so relaxing and still upbeat. I think that we will go for lunch tomorrow before we head back.

We have been in Texas for a day now and it is beautiful! We are in this little town on the Gulf. There are few pet friendly establishments, but everyone has been so helpful. The manager at the motel has given us a second room for half price for the babies, even though technically “pets” are not allowed. (The website said yes, but someone recently purchased the property and changed all the rules.) I volunteered my help to update the web page and the manager volunteered the room. Not a bad deal. No one seems to know if “pets” are allowed on the beach or not, so I make sure I clean up any messes. Samson and Fifi are loving the water and the sand. Princess and Yoyo would rather stay in the grassy areas. I try my best to divide the time evenly. I do have to admit that I would rather be on the beach, but to see Princess giving me the “This is SO below me” look, breaks my heart. Later today I am going to explore the town a little more. LOL People are going to stare when they see me, two cats and two dogs all walking merrily along.
