My Problem Child

Yoyo is now officially my problem child. She threw a total fit on the vet yesterday. It was terrible, hissing, biting, claws flying. They had to give her a sedative just to give her her rabies shot. Thankfully she acted like a little angel for the groomer.

It’s V Day

V stands for vet and vaccinations. Everyone is loaded up and ready to go. I think a little stop by the groomers for some TLC will be wonderful for everyone after our visit. Yoyo seems a bit apprehensive, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn’t freak on the vet or his assistants.

Fresh Air

We spent almost all weekend outside enjoying the cool air and sunshine. We did some painting and repairs to our out building, tuned up the lawn mower, pulled up some dead plants and weeds and let the babies run their little legs off. Samson and Fifi have worn themselves out! I think they are actually happy to be inside this morning. Princess and Yoyo have added luster in their coats. Little do they know that tomorrow we will be going to the vet for their yearly rabies immunization. They are usually really well behaved, but Yoyo does not like going to the vet at all. This may make things a little more stressful for everyone else.

Time to Start

Working outside! Since it’s starting to warm up it’s time to get started with our outside clean up for Spring. We have turned the ground over for our garden, made sure nothing broke during the Winter and let the babies get lots of fresh air! Samson must know because he has been at the door all morning just waiting. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend.

Fifi

Just got back from the vet, and it seems that Fifi has developed a nervous disorder. The vet says that there are many things that could have triggered this, including a new addition to the family. My guess is that between Yoyo’s arrival and the time Jim and I have been spending together, those are the changes that caused this. The doc gave her a shot and prescribed an anti-anxiety pill for a couple of days. I don’t like giving my babies any kind of medication, but at the same time I can not afford to replace cords and shoes either. Thankfully it’s only temporary and the doc said she should be back to normal in about 3 or 4 days.

Fifi

Fifi has been a very bad girl today. She ate the cord to my printer, then she tore Yoyo’s bed apart. I am not sure what has her acting this way, but to be on the safe side I am taking her to the vet tomorrow. I just hope she is maybe jealous.

Shopping for the Babies

I received a small bonus on a project I recently complete, so I decided to take some of it and do something for my babies. I kinda feel like they have been a little neglected since Jim and I have been spending so much time together doing “people” things. I got the cutest little doggie biscuits shaped like shoes and stuffed animals for Samson and Fifi. (Things a puppy would chew if they were around.) Then for Princess and Yoyo I got some very sparklely new collars, one in pink for Princess and one in white for Yoyo. Princess is very impressed and Yoyo could care less, but I know she has enjoyed the attention.

Oh How Romantic

I can not believe how inexpressively wonderful the past 2 days have been! Jim hasn’t been like this since we first started dating. I have had breakfast in bed, lunch “delivered” to my office and dinners made with love. Samson and Fifi are indifferent to all this attention I am getting, but Princess and Yoyo are going crazy! Princess has made anyplace Jim is her domain and Yoyo has not left my side except when forced to leave by hunger or nature’s call. If we had a baby I think Yoyo and Princess would run away!

About My Day

In return for the lovely dinner and romantic evening I planned and pulled off without a glitch, Jim returned the favor. As I said in an earlier post, his surprises are never as I would expect. Until yesterday! I guess he knows the middle of the week is usually a drag, so he prepared dinner for me! Got our good friend Leslie to watch the babies and rented a chick flick for us to watch. Is there anything more romantic than having a man watch a chick flick with you? I don’t think so! I think I could get used to this, as a matter of fact I think I will cook another of his favs on Friday. Wonder what he will do in his appreciation this time??

What a Day

Jim has outdone himself!! I don’t have much time to go into details right now, but it has been a fabulous day! I think I need to fix him a steak dinner more often!

Hmmmm

Jim is hinting that I may have a very nice surprise on Wednesday. I am more afraid than excited. Usually when he has a surprise for me it’s never as exciting as he plans. Let’s hope it’s not a remodeling project or something else that extravagant. I love him, and he tries so hard to please me. He needs to realize I would rather have a card with a love note than 5 dozen roses or an addition to my office. Oh, well, we will see.

Almost Over Already

I can’t believe this weekend is almost over already. Granted, we can easily put off going “to work” tomorrow, but there is just something about the weekends. I must say that my plan worked perfectly! Jim was so surprised by dinner that he thought he had missed an important date, like our anniversary or something. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. I am heading back to bed; everyone is piled on there waiting for me so we can watch a movie. Life is truly wonderful.

Lazy Weekend Ahead

Jim and I have been so busy this week that we haven’t spent much time together. So, this weekend we have decided on a nice relaxing don’t leave the house family time. I am so excited! I think that I will “sneak” away today and buy everything for Jim’s favorite meal. We try to eat healthy and don’t splurge often, but I know he would REALLY enjoy a nice steak dinner. Then maybe after, some candlelight and slow dancing. It’s been a long time since we have had any romantic time. Now what do I do with those darn kids? LOL

Finally Caught Up

Its official, Yoyo, Princess and I are finally caught up on all my work. Whew! Took long enough. I think my darling’s are tired of keeping me company at the computer. What do they say about these things? All good things must come to an end? Yeah, that’s the one! Of course there is always next time to look forward to. ;)

Work, Work and More Work.

I did not realize exactly how far behind I was on my work. :( Lucky for me Yoyo and Princess have decided to keep me company. Work is much more pleasant with Yoyo on my lap and Princess overseeing beside the computer. (What a sight!) Maybe all this work isn’t such a bad thing after all.

Home!

We just got in the door and Yoyo is thrilled! Princess is just as happy. I think that Fifi is missing her skis, but Samson is snuggled into his bed. I think they are glad to be home. I know I am. I love to travel, but home is where the heart is. I do have more work than planned to catch up on because I spent so much time on the slopes.

The Resort

Even though we weren’t able to stay at the ski resort, I have to say it is WONDERFUL! Everyone is friendly and the other guests were fabulous. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed skiing so much before. The hotel where we have stayed is nice, not too fancy, but CLEAN! It’s called Commodores Inn and it’s right off of Rt 100. We did have to pay a nonrefundable deposit for our babies, but it was worth it. Yoyo and Princess have made ample use of the room, after the first moment in the snow, neither one of them willingly stepped out the door. We head home tomorrow and I am sure they will be much happier than they are at this moment.
