So far everyone is having a blast. Although, Princess and Yoyo are NOT impressed with the snow what-so-ever! Samson and Fifi on the other hand, are having a most wonderful time. We even found some doggie skis for them to try. Fifi actually seems to enjoy them very much. Time to go play some more!

We have made it to Vermont. I must say that Stowe is beautiful and the place we are staying is very nice also. If you ever get a chance to visit here, do not pass it up! We have found a very nice lady to sit with the kids while we go ski. I will tell you more later, time to head out.

We have had a change in plans. Instead of meeting partway, we are now driving all the way to Vermont. It seems the lodge we had reserved has changed the pet policy. No pets are allowed. Oh well, good thing I am flexible. On to Vermont we go!

The driving while the “babies” sleep idea has it’s good points, and it’s bad. Yoyo did not sleep at all, she didn’t cry, but she didn’t sleep either. I am afraid that all the progress she had made with Princess and Samson and Fifi is gone. Her moving and pacing in her carrier kept everyone awake. Needless to say, we all need some sleep. Good night or rather good morning.

We are ready to head out. Jim and I decided that maybe we should try leaving later so the “babies” would sleep most of the way. By the time we reach the halfway mark they should be ready to get out and take care of natures call and get some exercise before we check into our room. I will let you know if this was a good idea or not.

Everyone received good reports from the vet. I didn’t think anyone has any problems, but better to be safe than sorry. I must say I was very impressed with Yoyo at the groomers! She LOVED it! They even put a little bow in her hair. I am a happy mom!

We are off to take Samson, Fifi, Princess and Yoyo to the vet for a little check-up before we leave friday. Then we are going to the groomer for some pampering. I am so excited, this will be Yoyo’s first visit with the groomer! I do hope she behaves.

Yoyo has improved so much over the past week that we are going to take a trip! We plan on traveling north to meet with my sister. A weekend of winter fun with my family! It will be 2 days drive and then we are going to spend a week with my family and then 2 days drive back. I can’t wait! It’s going to be so much fun!

We left early this morning and we had the best time! Samson and Yoyo got along so very well! I let Yoyo out of her carrier while I went inside the grocery store and she RAN to Samson. He laid down and Yoyo curled up beside him. I wish I had had my camera! They were still curled up together when I came out and Yoyo didn’t fight at all when it came time to go in the carrier. I think these two may become the best of friends.

I must report that Yoyo did much better today. She hardly cried at all! She still acts like she is afraid of the carrier. I am sure that next month when I take her to be “fixed” she will like it even less. Tomorrow I am going to take Sampson with us since he seems to be more tolerant than Fifi.

Since Yoyo needs more time to adjust to travel, I have decided to take her on daily outings. I usually need to run out on a daily basis for one thing or another, so I will now have company. Jim and I are planning a week long road trip to visit his brother next month, so Yoyo needs to be ready. So do I! LOL I would hate to have to leave her behind when we have made so much progress. I will keep you updated on how things go.

The trip went pretty well, all things considered. We picked a nice weekend for it, at least, lovely weather. And I found another great B&B online, reasonable rates, pet-friendly, and no extra charge for having FOUR animals!!!! Luckily it’s only an hour’s drive from our house.

We just got home form our little trip. If I weren’t so tired, I would tell you all about it. Guess I will fill you in tomorrow.

For Yoyo’s first real trip we decided to stay close to home. We are at a BEAUTIFUL bed and breakfast! I will tell you more about it later. Right now Jim and I are heading out for dinner. The babies, however, are staying here! (When I tell you about the drive here you will understand my happiness.)

Ordinarily I love to shop for all my pet gear online – such a great selection, and I can comparison shop for the best prices, too. This time, though, since our weekend getaway is just a few days away, I decided I’d have to hit the pet superstore in town. The best thing about the store is that everybody brings their pets to shop! Of course Princess doesn’t really like it too much, and I’m just not too sure how Yoyo would react, so I left them at home (in separate rooms!) and just took Fifi and Samson.

Now that I am fairly sure that Yoyo and Princess can stand each other, I have planed a short trip for the weekend. Fifi and Samson are bored with being home so long, the long for the open road. I see it in their little faces. I am not sure where we will go, but I think it is in everyone’s best interest if we stay close to home. The main point is we are going somewhere and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Yoyo will love to travel as much as Princess, Fifi and Samson. The only thing left to do is shop for Yoyo’s travel gear! (I love to shop for my babies.)
