Snake Sitting?

Jim’s friend Robert is going out of town for the next two weeks and we will be snake sitting. I have already told him that I will NOT be feeding or watering or TOUCHING that snake. Princess and I are going to be spending a lot of time together. She has shown much displeasure towards our new guest.

Samson

We are heading out the door to go pick Samson up from the vet. When I called to check on him they informed me that he is ready to come home. Guess the antibiotics did the trick. I think everyone will sleep better tonight. We all missed him so much.

Poor Samson

Today we had to take poor Samson to the vet. He woke up this morniing and wouldn’t eat or drink or play. When he won’t play, we KNOW something is wrong. It seems that somehow he must have ingested something that made him sick. He has to have antibiotics through an IV so he gets to spend the night at the vets.Fifi is beside herself and even Princess seems to miss him.

Mail!

I had not realized we had been gone so long! It will take me days to get through all the mail! LOL The babies are so happy to be home and have roamed every inch of the house and yard. Today we are going to rake the leaves and start getting everything ready for winter.

Home

We are home, seems like we were gone for months! Samson and Fifi “flew” out of the car, and ran and jumped and played until they finally fell down for a rest. Princess went straight to the porch and groomed herself before taking a seat to watch the entertainment. I think we may stay home for a while before heading on the next adventure.

Almost Home

Even though we have had such a wonderful time on this trip, I must admit, I can not wait to get home. We are staying tonight in a lovely little Bed & Breakfast and will arrive home tomorrow evening. I think the babies are ready to be home too. Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow….

Groomers

I must say that after our unfortunate meeting with the skunk, I have never aprreciated a great groomer as much as I do now. We found a lovely little shop in the next town and they were so very wonderful! Obviously this sort of thing is very commonplace and they were prepared! Fifi has never smelled so sweet. I think Princess was rather jealous that Fifi received so much attention. We stayed at a nice little motel and now are getting ready to hit the road. The great thing about the visit with the skunk, is that Princess and I no longer will be camping on this trip. :)

Skunks

Last night we camped in a lovely campground. We were VERY much surrounded by nature. So much so that darling Fifi found a skunk that she attempted to befriend. Needless to say before we hit the road today she will be making a visit to a groomer. My poor darling stinks! Princess and Samson have made it clear that they will not travel with such a stench! It is actually very comical to see how fast they move when Fifi heads in their direction. :(

Heading Home

San Fransisco has been so wonderful, so friendly to our babies. Alas it is time to head home. We plan on camping a couple of times, much to Princess’ displeasure. Samson, Fifi and Jim enjoy it so much, how can I say no?

Travel Pet Insurance

Jim and I think this is one of the most important preparations you can make for the safety of your beloved pets. You sure wouldn’t travel without your insurance card! (more…)

San Fran

I did not know how very pet friendly San Francisco is! The babies went to parks, shops, places to eat, and even on the cable cars! Princess did not like that too well! I think we are gong to stay another day or two. Heading to the beach!

Reno

We arrived in Reno and found a small but clean motel. Had to pay for double the room rate because we have 3 “pets”. We are off to explore before getting some sleep and leaving for Ca. in the morning. I am actually enjoying this little adventure. I will keep you posted! :)

Reno First

Jim is feeling most adventurous! We are going to Reno, NV then we are traveling to CA. The babies know something is going on, they are like kids in a candy store!(pacing, jumping, here and there.) I must admit that I kind of like the idea of being spontanious, although it is NOT my nature. I sure hope that man of mine knows what he is doing!!

Going West

When we awoke this morning and started packing Jim says, “Let’s not go home.” I am floored thinking he wants to move here! It seems that Jim wants to go westward! We are going to California. Never been but there is a first time for everything. So, it time to research places to stay and vets and pet sitters!! But, first I guess I need to find out where in Ca we are going.

Almost Time to Head Home

We have had so much fun this trip I don’t think I have had time to breath! Jim is snoring so loud that even Fifi can’t sleep! (Fifi by the way can sleep through a blast of dynomite!) I am going to try to put something over my ears and try to sleep! I will let ya know how that goes….

What an Evening!

Jim and I had the most romantic supper last night. I felt like a newlywed! We left our babies with Kelly and even slept in this morning. Ahhh, travel is wonderful. As soon as we ate breakfast though, we went to pick up Fifi, Samson and Princess. ( I was missing our morning snuggle time.) While time alone is nice, time with our children is better!
